Senators during fall recess rather than talking it through with a better exit strategy?
Leaving thousands of detained ISIS behind so they can repatriate with their forces doesn't sound like a good idea. Why send a signal to the rest of the world that makes the US look weak? Why do we want to make it look like we abandoned the Kurds to die after they helped us? What do you think our allies are thinking? That's not good foreign policy. That's idiotic.
People can disagree about our middle east policies. That's fair. However, have an exit strategy. That's what leaders do. They don't act on impulse.
